About Rollify

Rollify is a modern random-tools site for creators, players, and educators. The promise is simple: roll anything in one click, with results that don't look like 2014.

Why this site exists

The random-tools space has two failure modes. On one side, sites like randomlists.com that haven't been visually updated since the early 2010s — static text lists, no interaction design, no curation. On the other side, AI-creator platforms like perchance.org where the same generator might be a polished tool or somebody's 3-week-old experiment, and you can't tell from the URL.

Rollify sits in the middle. Every tool is hand-curated (word pools reviewed by humans, not LLM-generated bulk), every page is built with modern UX (real-time generation, share buttons, mobile-first), and the scope is intentionally limited — instead of 1,000 mediocre tools, we ship 30 great ones over the next 12 months.

What's live right now

Three clusters with real, polished tools:

• Party games — Pictionary (4 difficulty modes, 380+ words) and Charades (5 categories, 480+ phrases). Scene-specific subpages for easy Pictionary and family Charades.
• Animals — Random Animal Generator with 250 species across 6 categories, each with a verified fun fact plus optional AI-generated extras.
• Names & handles — Gamertag generator (5 platform styles), Funny names (3 tone modes plus an "all" mix), plus platform-specific subpages for Xbox, Steam, Discord, silly, and hilarious.

What's coming

Four more clusters are in active development, with hub pages already live and roadmaps published:

• OC Makers — Q3-Q4 2026. Roblox + anime character creators built on a shared engine.
• Fandom Toolkits — Q3 2026 onward. Warrior Cats first, then Harry Potter, Pokémon, Naruto, MHA.
• RPG & Worldbuilding— Q4 2026 onward. Fantasy races, towns/cities, NPCs, D&D mechanics.
• Writer Toolkit — Q4 2026 - Q1 2027. Fanfic plots, character backstories, story settings.

Who builds this

One person right now, on nights and weekends. The site name is Rollify but the project is a labor of love. Word pools are hand-curated, page copy is human-written, and AI is used carefully and visibly — only where it adds real value (animal facts, prompt extensions), never to spam-fill content.

How decisions get made

Every tool starts with keyword research — what people actually search for, what existing tools occupy the space, where there's an open opportunity. Then the question becomes whether we can build it meaningfully better than what's already ranking. If yes, it ships. If no, the slot goes to another idea. There's a published research log (not public) covering 30+ candidate clusters and the reasoning behind which ones got the green light.

Money

Rollify is free with no ads (currently). The long-term plan is display ads via Mediavine or a similar platform once monthly traffic crosses their threshold (~50K). No paywalls, no premium tier, no data sales. If we ever change that, we'll say so loudly on the home page first.
