Privacy Policy — Rollify

This page is the short, honest version. Rollify is a free random-tools site with no accounts and no logins. The data picture is intentionally minimal.

What we collect

When you visit a page, two things happen automatically:

Cloudflare (our host) sees your IP address and request headers to serve the page. Cloudflare also runs Web Analytics on the site, which is cookieless and does not track you across other sites.
Google Analytics 4 records pageviews, referrer, and rough device info (browser, OS, country). GA4 sets a first-party cookie (_ga) that lasts ~2 years and assigns your browser a random ID. We never receive your name, email, or precise location.

On the random animal page, if you click "Get an extra fact," your animal name is sent to OpenRouter.ai (an AI gateway) to generate a single sentence. OpenRouter sees the animal name; it does not see your IP beyond what any HTTPS request reveals.

What we don't collect

No accounts, no passwords, no email at sign-up (there's no sign-up).
No payment info, ever — the site is free.
No precise location, no contact list access, no microphone, no camera, no notifications.
We don't sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers. There are currently no ads on the site.

Cookies

The only cookie set on a normal visit is:

_ga (and related _ga_*) — Google Analytics. ~2-year lifespan. Random ID, no PII.

You can block this with any browser cookie blocker, an ad blocker like uBlock Origin, or DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials — the site works identically without the cookie.

Third parties

Cloudflare — hosting + cookieless analytics. privacy policy

OpenRouter — AI gateway (only on click, only the animal page). privacy policy
Google Fonts — for our display font (Fraunces). Fonts are served from fonts.gstatic.com.

Children

Several of the tools (silly name, easy Pictionary, charades family, random animal) are useful in classroom and family settings. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, child or adult — because we don't ask for any. If you're a parent or teacher and want the absolute minimum data footprint, an ad-blocking browser like Brave will prevent GA4 from loading at all; the site works identically.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Because we don't tie data to identities, there's no individual record to access, correct, or delete. If you'd like to opt out of Google Analytics on this site, you have several options — pick whichever fits:

Clear cookies for rollify.net in your browser. Quickest, but they'll regenerate on your next visit unless combined with one of the options below.
Install an ad-blocker like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger — these block GA4 entirely at the network level. Most reliable option and what we'd recommend.
Use a privacy-focused browser. Brave blocks GA by default; Firefox with "Strict" tracking protection does too.
Google's own opt-out add-on — available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. An older first-party mechanism from Google; the page is dated and auto-localizes to your browser language, but it works for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Modern ad-blockers above are usually more reliable.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect (e.g. start running ads, add an email signup), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will move. No retroactive changes — what you signed up for on a given date is what applied that day.
